ADHD, Autism & Giftedness Solutions

For Adults

At Peak, we take a neurodiversity-affirming approach that recognizes and values different ways of thinking, learning and experiencing the world. We celebrate the strengths (AKA superpowers) that can accompany these differences, such as creativity, curiosity, deep focus, and pattern recognition. We also honour the challenges that can make it difficult to fully apply these strengths and tap into or reach our peak potential.

ADHD, autism and giftedness can occur individually or together, creating a complex combination of strengths and support needs. However you describe yourself, we recognize that remarkable abilities and significant difficulties can exist side by side. Strengths can sometimes conceal support needs, while challenges can make it difficult to express or use those strengths. In both cases, others may not recognize how much effort everyday life requires.

We are particularly passionate about supporting individuals who have felt misunderstood, invalidated or harmed by how their differences were interpreted or addressed, even by well-intentioned people or services. We also welcome individuals who were diagnosed or identified later in life, or who are seeking counselling support related to their neurodivergence for the first time. Discovering a new way to understand yourself can bring relief and validation, alongside grief, frustration or questions about what might have been different with earlier or more appropriate support. We make space for all of these responses as you revisit past experiences and explore what this understanding means for your future.

You may have spent years compensating for difficulties, masking aspects of yourself or trying to meet expectations that did not fit your needs. Perhaps your achievements have hidden the exhaustion behind them, or you have wondered why certain tasks feel so difficult despite your abilities. At Peak, we approach these experiences with curiosity, compassion and respect.

Together, we explore your individual profile of strengths, challenges and needs. Therapy may focus on task initiation, organization, time management, emotional regulation, sensory overwhelm, perfectionism, communication or relationships. We also support clients in understanding masking, navigating exhaustion and addressing concerns such as anxiety, depression or trauma that may be part of their experience.

Our work goes beyond helping you manage daily demands. We support you in building self-compassion, communicating your needs, setting boundaries and developing routines and environments that work with your mind. This includes exploring how to use your strengths in ways that feel meaningful and sustainable, without expecting yourself to excel at everything.

We go at your pace. Whether you are navigating a recent diagnosis, exploring longstanding questions or seeking practical support, we begin with a trusting therapeutic relationship. Together, we help you build a life that honours who you are, supports your well-being and creates room for your peak potential.
